What is a Bonger Massage?

Bongers massage how-to animation gif

Bongers ™ are a hand-held  percussive massage tool that makes it easy to massage yourself or others. Pain relief is within reach!

Our massage tools have been used throughout the world by luxury spas, professional masseuses, accupressure specialists, and chiropractors. But you can experience the same relief right at home time and time again!

Giving a deep tissue massage puts unnecessary stress on your hands and fingers, and often leaves the masseuse needing a massage themselves! But by using Bongers ™ you can give a quality and pain free massage for extended periods of time. Bonging is as easy and fun as drumming, and is a great excuse for getting drummers to practice on you! Make a musical massage by putting on some music and playing along in rhythm.

What does it feel like to be bonged? Many people have described their first bonging experience as if they were, “underneath the soothing stream of a powerful waterfall.” Just close your eyes and imagine you are on an exotic vacation! Just one bong and you’ll be convinced!

Bongers ™ make a great gift for family, friends, and co-workers of any age and for any occasion. Whether its a birthday, wedding, anniversary, baby shower, get well present, or housewarming; Bongers™ are always appreciated. Bongers™ are a gift that keeps on giving!

I have had sharp, stabbing pain in my hip for years. After being injured again 2yrs ago, I went hunting for my lone Bonger. (I lost the other one) I purchased this Bonger in 1991. I down loaded a reflex point, foot chart from the internet. Basically, I began by tapping on my foot, taking note where it was tender, then looked @ the chart. Well, wouldn’t you know…. my tender spots coincided with my reflex points for my hips, & lower spine. It hurt so bad…but it hurt so good! In the midst of Bonging away, I realized that my pain had gone away! Pain that had tormented me endlessly for years..was gone! It is not a permanent cure, so I just keep my Bongers with me to use if I need it. I have purchased the newer type Bonger, of which I was very dissatisfied. Not enough power in the punch. I have since then realized that it us good for areas which are more delicate, & tender. I use the original Bonger for the bottom of my feet. I tried it on my sister who is fighting cancer. After Bonging her feet, a few minutes later I asked her how her hip was. She looked at me excitedly & responded, the pain’s gone! I couldn’t leave her house without leaving her a Bonger. I wish I could supply all 7 of my sisters with Bongers, since we all have spinal & hip pain that is chronic. My boyfriend says the relief is “in my head”. OK, Rick, if that’s what you believe….I’ll keep telling everyone & keep Bonging!

    Thank you, Robyn Daniels

      Hi Robyn,

I’m glad you have found so much relief using Bongers™ and reflex point charts! Thank you for your comments on the new Bongers™ as well. We had received many comments in the past that the ball was too hard, so that was one adjustment we made. We’ve been considering offering two different levels of hardness, so maybe we will have to revisit this idea. However, one thing you might want to try in the mean time is to run some cool water over the ball, just be careful to dry the metal fully afterwards. Otherwise you could try putting some cold packs on the ball, or leaving the ball in sunlight (as long as you are okay with some slight discoloration). Best wishes to you and your sisters!

After suffering stress the pain at work was unbearable, but ever since we had our first bongers every day is a joy and I would recommend that everyone has one. Sometimes I think the colour and style might not be the best but the performance is top notch. Every home\office should have one.

I love to bong my head.is this safe and are there any spots or aother places that shouldn’t be bonged?

    • Kevin Christensen February 11, 2015 at 7:54 pm Permalink

Yes, it is safe to tap your head if you do so lightly (and of course not on children still forming their protective bone structure). The only spot that should be avoided is the kidney located on the lower right and left side of one’s back.
